Decided Band Name

We chose the name 'Sadgasm' in order to fit within the alternative/emo genre: it has a sad/comedic tone to it, which is a common trait in the emo scene. As well as this, prolific midwest emo band Panucci's Pizza are named after an intertextual reference from cartoon series Futurama. We decided to take a similar approach by making an intertextual reference to the Simpsons cartoon: Homer's band Sadgasm. The fact that our band has an "ironic" name means that our audience can easily associate us with the emo scene, and other emo bands.
